Each section has a Leader and usually one or two Assistant Leaders. To become a Leader or Assistant requires some training but it's not arduous. We pay for the cost of training and your uniform.
Each section may also have Adult Helpers - usually parents who come along as to as many meetings as they want to help out with supervising the children. There's no training and no uniform.
The Group Executive Committee
Each Group has a Committee made up of people who want to help the Group but don't have time or may not be interested in the Scouting aspect. The Executive Committee look after Fund Raising, building maintainance, etc. All the administration stuff the Leaders just don't have time for. At the 31st we have recently started to build our Exec Committee up and it's now providing good support to the Group. However, it could use more members to help things along. We have retired Scouts, parents of children in the Group and so on. It's another way to support the children taking part in Scouting.
