This photograph shows the plot for the new church, and the first of the foundations being dug. In the background is the temporary church, which is now the church hall.

The front cover for the order of service for cutting the first turf.

Building work progressing. Note the wooden frames for building the arches

 The foundation stone being blessed.

The side aisle, looking from the sanctuary end.

View from the top of the tower (spire not yet added), looking at the temporary church. In the background you can see the vicarage under construction. The roof has now been tiled, and in the bottom left, you can see the frame for the spire, waiting to be lifted into position.

Looking up from inside at men working on the spire

The completed church - at this time the vestry, choir stalls and Lady Chapel have yet to be added.

Looking down The Glade from the top of the tower. Note - a horse and cart in the road, no television masts on Crystal Palace Hill, no street lamps, and no Lorden Estate!
